My Causes

I do not know whether it is age or some other factor, but I find these years part of life is just about giving back. Because of that I have become active in several causes because I just believe their missions and what they do.

My causes include;

  • ALZ – ALZ is the fundraising arm for Alzheimer’s research and hosts it’s annual Walk in the fall of each year. I have participated enthusiastically each year for the last eight years and during that time have raised almost $10,000 for Alzheimer’s research through my generous friends. God bless them all. Click the link on the left to learn more about my walk, my experience with ALZ, and my own father.

  • Lion’s Club – All my life I saw the men in the yellow vests. And now I am one. The Lion’s Club is a service organization that is celebrating more than 100 years in existence this year; with more than 46,000 clubs world wide, and a reach of 1,000,000’s of members in countries nearly everywhere. I love the Lion’s. Through their ties through Helen Keller, they donate millions of glasses to the needy… and they do so much more. If you would like to learn about the Lion’s click the link or give me a call.

  • The Kentucky Colonels – This is a new cause to me, and, an old cause. I was originally appointed to the Order of the Colonels by Wallace Wilkinson (so quite a while ago). I have only recently rejoined them. More to come later.
